I just finished the novel "Looking for Alaska" by John Green and though I read it in English I thought I am going to write the review in English as well. Hope you don't mind (:
"Looking for Alaska" by John Green was first published in 2005 by Dutton Books and costs 9€.
Miles Halter's whole life has been a big non-event, until he meets Alaska Young.
Gorgeous, clever and undoubtedly screwed up, Alaska draws Miles into her reckless world and irrevocably steals his heart. For Miley, nothing can ever be the same again.
First of all... OMG this is the most beautiful cover I've ever seen!!! I can't think of any cover prettier than this. I am so f*cking in love I can't handle it.
Furthermore I really really really like this novel. I like the characters and the way they are all so different and therefor the way they treat one another.
More over I absolulty adore Alaska because she has something special, something deep inside of her that makes her different.
The story itself is so captivating and I had this non-stop feeling of one the one hand wanting to keep on reading and on the other hand stopping so the story can not end.
I can only recommend this novel because there's nothing I think should be altered and nothing that isn't completly perfect.
In addition John Green's writing style is just the best. The way he describes things and how fluently you can read through his novel is just amazing!
This novel gets ***** stars of 5 because it is just perfect.
I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did!
